8th day:   Dzangha—Zangha National Park

What to do: Visit the natural forest trails in the early part of the day and depart for Bertoua

9th day: Bertoua—Samalomo (Dja Reserve) and night camping

10th day: Dja biosphere reserve

What to do: It is important to note that due to its uniqueness it has been classified as a UNESCO Heritage Site. Cross into the national park over the River Dja by ferry or by boat. While in the park visit pygmies in their forest habitats, and walk the long forest trail with them to the gigantic outcrop, which is a point of congregation of almost all the forest wildlife such as  the elephant, buffaloes, sitatungas, bongos, parrots and other birds and very beautiful butterflies

11th day: Somalomo—Akono

What to see on the way: traditional settlements. At Akomo visit the juniour seminary and night there

12th day: Mengame Gorilla Sanctuary and discover the lowland gorilla and drive to Ebolowa and visit the rare topographical features, giant rock outcrops (Great peak of Ako’okas) and night at Ebolowa.

13th day: Ebolowa-Kribi

What to do: Visit the legendary traditional ruler and musician in his beautiful palace besides the Atlantic Ocean and savour some of his music. Visit the Lobe waterfall which makes the meeting point between the ocean and the River Lobe. Night at a seaside hotel in Kribi. While there enjoy the night life at a nightclub or enjoy local food mostly made up of freshly caught and roasted fish or prawns/shrimps.

14th day: Drive back to Douala while stopping briefly at the oil palm plantations, hydro electricity source and Lake Ossa. Departure from Douala overnight.

 

1st day: Arrival at Douala and night there.

2nd day: Yaounde to Mbandjock

What to do: Visit of national park in the outskirts of Yaounde and take –off to Mbandjock. Brief stop at Nacktigal fall at Batchenga. Visit the sugar cane plantation and factory at Mbandjock.

3rd day: Mbandjock—Belabo—Bertoua

What to do: Brief stop at Belabo to see timber processing factory. Experience the transition between the Equatorial Forest and the Guinea Savanna. Brief stop at Bertoua and night at Batouri, a timber town

4th day: Batouri—Garigombo

What to do: Visit the gold extraction sites and the martial sanctuary at Batouri and proceed to Garigombo for the night

5th day: Garigombo

What to do: Trekking in the virgin forest, rich in biodiversity, watching birds and insects and discovering the dome-shaped topography which are at the transitional zone between the Equatorial Forest and the Savanna. Stay the night at Garigombo

6th day: Garigombo to Bayanga in the Central African Republic

What to do: Cross the Sangha River which is at the borders between Cameroon and the Central African Republic to the pygmy settlements at Bayanga. At these settlements experience their lifestyle which is intrinsic with nature. Particular interest would be their houses, hunting expertise, traditional medicine and folk lore. Camp overnight with the pygmies.

7th day: Bayanga—Dzangha National Park

What to do: From Bayanga to the Dzangha National Park, continue discovering the pygmies and may  move along with some as guides and melody providers. While at the Doli lodge in the national park watch the abundant wildlife streaming through the main feeding and drinking ground and spend the night in the beautiful Doli Ecolodge, made up purely of local material
