12th- 15th day: Manengouba Mountain and Mount Bakossi.

Principal birds species to be seen: Green-breasted bush shrike, Evergreen forest warbler, Red-headed picatharte.

Other attractions: Fascating Manengouba twin lakes, beautiful landscape exhibiting a near-temperate climate, Fulani cattle rearers who have a peculiar lifestyle.

16-18th day: Lake Awing and Baba II.

Principal bird species: Banemanns’s Touraco Banded wattle-eye, Yellow-breasted boubou, Green-breasted bush shrike.

Other attractions: fascinating landscape around Lake Awing, village walks, horse riding, forest walks.

19th day: Mankon

Principal bird species: Bamenda Apalis, African broadbill, Cameroon Olive, Green Bulbul.

Other attractions: Sacred Forest with its traditional shrines, Palace museum, village walks.

20th day: Tubah Upland Forest and Sabga.

What to do: Trek through the hill, while admiring the unique mountain vegetation with its unique bird species, to the mammoth sacred cave having a large bat population. Also, visit the Borrorro families where horse riding takes place. Camp in the beautiful meadows.

21st day: Drive back to Douala and departure.

 

 

1st day:Arrival at Douala and night there.

2nd –5th day: Limbe, Bimbia and Bakingili

Principal bird species to be seen: Reicherbachs sunbirds, Carmelite sunbird, Western bluebill, White-bellied King fisher, Blue-billed malimbe, Orange weaver, White-crested hornbill, Green- breasted bush shrike.

Other attractions: Limbe Botanic Garden which is one of the oldest in Africa South of the Sahara, relics of the colonial period, volcanic deposits of the most recent eruption of the Cameroon mountain, Sene New Beach, Debunscha, which is the wettest place in Africa and  Idenau with its busy fishing villages and oil palm plantations.

6-7th day: Buea, which is the immediate vicinity of the Cameroon Mountain.

Principal bird species to be seen: Mount Cameroon Francolin, Mount Cameroon Speirops, Cameroon Olive, Pigeon.

Other attractions: Historical monuments depicting the German colonial period, beautiful Cameroon Mountain with its unique vegetation and towering landscape.

8th -11th day: Korup National Park

Principal bird species to be seen: Red headed Picathates, Rock Pratincole, Yellow-casqued hornbill.

Other attractions: Beautiful forest walks through the oldest tropical rain forest, boat excursion to mangrove swamps, oil palm plantation and factories, fishing villages.
