He is a trained ecological monitor and ornithologist with much field experience acquired when he worked in the Global Environment Facility (GEF)/ United Nations Development Program- financed Ijim and Kilum Mountain Forest conservation projects, both of which are community- based and combine nature conservation and rural development.

He has a mastery of all important Bird Areas in the whole of the Western Highlands of Cameroon, which have many endemic bird species highly sought for by bird watchers; and has guided many professional bird watching groups. He is also an adept cultural tour guide.
